Ready to try improv? This accelerated 4-week Level 1 Intensive is the perfect place to start! In just four classes, you'll learn the core fundamentals of improvisation in a fun, supportive environment while building confidence, thinking on your feet, and making new friends.
No acting or comedy experience is required—just bring a willingness to play and say "yes, and!"
This special intensive covers the essential skills from our Level 1 curriculum in a fast-paced format. Graduates are eligible to continue into Level 2.

What is improv comedy?
It’s not stand up comedy. It’s not one lonely man musing about airplane food. It’s a group of people making up scenes, drawn from real life or audience suggestions, and “finding the funny” instead of creating it on their own.

we are
Josh Malina is the founder of New River Theater. He is a local South Floridian and long time improviser and stand up comedian. He’s passionate about building community and bringing quality improv comedy to Fort Lauderdale
